Food and Drinks..

I have a passion for food and drinks!!!!And also would like to be an amateur cook....
I am just writing this blog topic is because recently I got inspired by a great joke. I had gone to a restaurant with my sister. We ordered a wanton soup,(my sister likes soups very much) even I too like but I cant tolerate with the spicy soups.Wanton soup was ok, though it did not taste well.second try was a reshmi kabab. It was too pathetic, could not even bite a bit.I stopped eating those kababs there itself.But my sister was just exploring that(like how Nigella is eating her own food!!!)I was wondering how can she eat those kababs.. I just given her a hint that the kabab is not good , "why are you harrassing your own taste buds...If you do not like that food still you eat then the body won't accept that food ... Some hormones will be created from body to brain then the taste buds wont produce any enzymes..." I given a detail explanation. But suddenly my sister told that ".. yah that is true ,but again some hormones will be created from brain to taste buds then will say . You are going to pay anyways , so eat it!!!"...It was so funny ..

After this incident I thought of writing something about Food and drinks which I know , and which became part of my food habits..


Raagi Porridge:
Something different dish(Meant for kids:) ) but still I love the taste.Typical Karnataka people(Even andhra People also) always eat Raagi Mudda/raagi Balls.I have seen my Telugu friend was making raagi balls with Peanut Chutney .Mmm I think It is so yummy ...It is a good source of minerals & vitamins. Preparation: Boil one cup of milk and when it boils mix the raagi powder and ghee as well , let it boil till it became a smooth paste without lumps.finally put some raisins,cardamom powder and sugar ... and just enjoy the hot dish...


Rice Flakes/Roasted Flakes(Poha/Aval)
Again It is also a nutrtional food contains Protein,Calium,Iron.in kerala it is a traditional snack-'Aval Nanachathu'.It is also easy to preapre ,I use Matta rice flakes , with jaggery and grated coconut .Just blend it well with your hand . The more you blend ,more the taste .If you want a flavour just put little bit of cardamom powder.(To make it soft you can use warm milk).Even you can add little ghee for taste

Soups:-Worries go down better with soup. ~Jewish Proverb
Would love to eat the hot little spicy soup...
Tomato Soup,Basil & Badam Soup,Veg Soup , Pea Soup,Pasta Soup,Wanton soup,Potato Soup,Chicken soup, etc

Green Tea: whenever I get time , I prepare and drink green Tea, I really enjoy that aroma when it get boils...Green Tea is rich in antioxidants and helps to reduce the weight.The greenish-yellow tea has a green, slightly astringent flavor close to the taste of the fresh leaf.It has lots of health benefits like,It lowers total cholesterol levels,green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease ,helps in getting relief from influenza and diarrhea,relieves stress and dpression.And moreover It is very good for a person who is suffering from diabetes and also inhibits the growth of cancer cells .Really very easy to make ,Just boil the water and put the green tea bags/long leaf green Tea(I use Tetley's green Tea). and close the vessel with a lid and off the stove after 5 min.just pour it in a cup with sugar , and also put some honey and drink it ....(u can also put Ginger or Lemon or fresh/dried Mint leaves in the boiling water if the tea pack doesn't contain any natural flavours)

This I love .... Easy to make;In a blender combine,1 cup fresh strawberry,Frozen Milk,Sugar.Blend untill it comes smooth..Adding ice cream is optional.
Irish Cream- I had this lovely drink when I went to my friend's home,But I do not know the exact recipe, I could remember the ingradients that they have told me, Irish whiskey,chocolate, condenced milk,Cream,and vanilla extract
